Angelshare

At Angelshare we offer a warm friendly welcome in our relatively new home set in a woodland rural location with views to Abriachan Community Hills. We are approximately 2 miles away from Loch Ness

Angelshare is an ideal base for numerous activities including bird-watching, walking, fishing, motor bike touring and cycling on the network of forestry tracks through the Community owned woodlands. These footpaths and cycle ways link to the famous Great Glen Way. Unspoilt beaches are only a short drive away.

There are sandy beaches within 30 minutes drive and the Moray Firth Dolphins may be seen from the beach. Dolphin boat trips go from Inverness and Cromarty. The city of Inverness is only 11 miles away, with good restaurants, theatre, cinema, aquadome etc.

Within one days excursion you can visit Skye, Fort William, Ullapool, John O' Groats, Grantown on Spey, Monarch of the Glen country or Kingussie Wildlife park.

With very little effort and without using the car, it is a short walk to reach the top of the Abriachan Hills. With 360 degree views of the mountains, Loch Ness and the sea, it is easy to lose track of time. We have excellent drying facilities for boots and anoraks for those who come in wet from the hills and a good selection of maps, guides and route cards on local walks to enable you to make the most of your stay. Packed lunches are available.

We offer adequate private parking. For those who want to leave the car at home and bring either the push bike or motor bike, we are able to offer secure storage area. For those of you who want to leave everything at home and with prior arrangement we are able to pick you up and drop you off from your chosen arrival/departure point in Inverness or from the Great Glen Way. Motorcycle tours are also available on request.

Please note, public transport is limited and buses will drop you off at the bottom of the steep single track road leading to Abriachan which is about a 2 mile walk uphill.

One night's stay will not be enough.

Rates £25 to £35 per person depending on duration and season.
